Erafaz and Helgudin were hunting along the secret Summitfolk mountain trails when they came across the ancient funerary runestone of a female warrior named Sygrid. Curious about the woman in the grave, Helgudin made a rubbing of the stone and brought it to Sorcerice, who knew the most mountain lore.

Sorcerice recognized the woman’s name from the ancient petroglyphs and quickly identified Sygrid as one of Tyr Stormbringer’s first followers, a Valkyrie who was known for her kind heart as well as her fierceness in battle. When Tyr left, Sygrid was said to have died of a broken heart, although Sorcerice dismissed this as “a little dramatic.” But what was of interest to both her and Helgudin was that the petroglyphs also said that Tyr’s revival would also bring Sygrid back in a more powerful phantasmic form. That would certainly be helpful when fighting against Barbarians…
