In the fields beside the Magic Council’s castle, Annacorn grazed along Shannara's Pet. Though she rarely ventured inside the castle walls, her magic reached far—strengthening weary monsters, shielding creatures from harm, and soothing wounded animals that somehow always found their way to her.

One day, Dorfil noticed Annacorn’s unusual talent: meticulous documentation of their spells and experiments. How a unicorn could be so precise baffled them, but they decided to take advantage of it anyway. From that day forward, Annacorn sometimes gallops up and down the castle stairs, in and out of meetings, helping the mages with invaluable record-keeping.
