Born to a wealthy family of space merchants in the Star Sailors faction, Maximus Astrum started his career precociously when he was chosen as a neutral mediator in conflicts between communities within Cosmo Civilizations.

He had always been very charismatic and had no trouble making himself respected by the monsters in Cosmo Civilizations. His work as a mediator became well-known and his monsters from his own faction started coming to him for their conflicts, too. However, it wasn't until space piracy became popular that Maximus Astrum felt that he and the monsters who worked with him needed to detach themselves from their original faction and form their own as neutral agents in order to fight crime and ensure security in Space.

In the beginning, the presence of the Space Defenders as the authority felt uncomfortable to both Cosmo Civilizations and Start Sailors but, over time, as they took it upon themselves to deal with the Abominations, a group that no one else wanted to face, everyone accepted the need for their role.

However, Maximus Astrum has lost some interest in day-to-day work as a Space Defender. He knows they can be annoying to many and doesn't want to break that charisma that makes him so respected. For this reason, he lets Commander Morgan play bad cop, and he only shows up in times of desperate need or when there's something heroic to do so that his presence will cause that wow effect that makes him feel alive.

Maximus Astrum is a Light and Dark Attacker with Cold Blood and Double Damage as Virtues.
