Fampirastral was a terrible student: hopeless at math, a disaster with potions and poisons. But to be fair, it wasn’t entirely her fault.

Teacher Lamenta, Monstelvania School’s most feared (and loathed) faculty member, made it her personal mission to terrorize the class. She didn’t just pick on Fampirastral. She picked on everyone. She hated all the students, and made no effort to hide it. Well… almost all the students.

There was one exception: Hayman. Quiet, obedient, and just the right amount of spooky, he was her golden ghoul. He never made a sound, always handed in his homework, and looked like he'd crawled out of a textbook on perfectly-behaved horrors.

The rest? She gave them hell. To Lamenta, most students were brainless wastes of graveyard space. Every class ended the same way, with her shrieking at the top of her lungs: “I’m a zombie! How is it possible that I’m the only monster in the room with a brain?!”
