As you can imagine, it’s the Wastelands’ preferred—if not only—way to fight back against the new presidential regime in Elektra. And no one does it quite like them: creative, reckless, and utterly unpredictable. They don’t plan their actions; they improvise. The moment they dream up an idea, they’re already doing it.

Lately, their favorite pastime has been storming city malls and rioting, grabbing whatever ordinary goods they can find to build makeshift “weapons.” Cola-bottle jetpacks, frozen-pizza shields, rubber-glove ropes, chamomile-tea bombs—you name it. These outlaws are nothing if not ingenious, and even if they don’t have many resources, they have the perfect secret workshop to carry out their mischiefs at the back of Stina’s Garage.

And at the center of these chaotic operations is their monster of a leader: Butcherang. If you remember him, you’ll know that he’s never been the most eloquent monster, but his passion speaks for him, and the Wastelands monster would all trust him with their life. However, now Butcherang insists on being called Butchekart. Why the change? Because he’s built himself a savage tank out of a stolen shopping cart. Ridiculous. Brilliant. Perfectly Wastelands.

The Wastelands won’t fold their hands in the face of oppression.
