Despite being made from cobbled-together scrap, technology developed in the Wastelands is often light-years beyond what most monsters would assume, in terms of sophistication. Necessity being the mother of invention, Wastelands monsters are capable of knocking together all sorts of weapons, tools, and simple machines out of the trash surrounding them. And one particularly popular category of invention is survival gear—not just to protect against the toxic Wastelands, but gear intended to help Wastelands monster colonize other parts of Elektra where the Citizens and their neighbors would never dare go.

As a scout for the BaronX, Tikaani’s equipment is specialized for Elektra’s harsh polar environments. Despite the killing cold, these poles have fresh frozen water and an abundance of edible lichen, enough to sustain a handful of trained colonists. No matter how cold it may get, it’s still better than living among giant piles of garbage and nuclear waste, so Tikaani’s mission is of the utmost importance: Find a place to start the first northern outpost of what will eventually be the BaronX’s great empire. And if he gets to enjoy some rare fresh air and unpolluted water during his mission, so much the better.
