Dear Dragon Masters, this month marks an important milestone in the history of Dragon City.
We are celebrating our 10th Birthday!

If we’ve made it this far, it’s because of our Dragon Masters all around the world! Thank you all so much! This is indeed a BIG milestone for Dragon City, and we want to celebrate it with all of you.

Brace yourself for some amazing events and gifts…but more importantly, for new, exciting content that we’ve been working on during the past several months based on your feedback.

The time has finally arrived to draw back the curtain and reveal some of what we have in store for you this month! Here are some features you can expect in May and June 2022! We will update the dates in this Post as the release-timeline approaches!

In addition to the changes shown here, we have a few more surprises up our sleeves. But you’ll have to discover those gems by visiting Dragon City throughout the birthday season!

Welcome the new dragon element: TIME
  • Time dragons are a completely unique new breed of dragons and can be placed in any Habitat. As such, there will be no need to make space for a unique Habitat for these dragons. They’ll fit right in anywhere on your Islands!
  • Time changes everything, and the arrival of the Time dragons has really shaken things up in Dragon City! As a result, some element combat interactions have now changed. Here is the updated Elements Chart so you can keep track of everything.

Combat Meta Update Notes:
CHANGE #1:  New TIME element added (strong vs. LEGEND, weak vs. WIND)
CHANGE #2: WIND + TIME integrated with the previous PURE/PRIMAL/LEGEND triad
CHANGE #3: TERRA / LIGHT combat strength overlapping elements fixed
  • TERRA attacks will now be strong against ELECTRIC and FLAME (previously, ELECTRIC + DARK).
  • WAR attacks will now be strong against TERRA and DARK (previously, TERRA + FLAME).
  • The inverse relations are also updated accordingly. LIGHT is kept the same.

In the past, Ancient World Elements stood alone in existence with neither distinct advantages nor disadvantages in battle versus other elements. The arrival of Time dragons has sparked a power struggle amongst the Ancients. This has resulted in the rise of Ancient combat interactions. The Ancient dragons have evolved, developing their own strengths and weaknesses against rival Ancients.

We have revamped the visuals of our Rank System and added an additional Rank.
  • The Rank System will now consist of 4 Ranks: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
  • For each Rank climbed, you will now be rewarded with Orbs.
  • To reach the new, 4th additional Rank (Platinum 1, 2, and 3), you will need to reach a certain amount of ‘kill counts’. We are aware that some of your dragons are already well above the 250-kill count. As a result, when the new Rank is introduced, these dragons will automatically jump up to the new Rank and players will receive the relevant Orb reward for their efforts. These rewards will be communicated at due time in-game!

Many Dragon Masters have grown beyond our wildest dreams, reaching experience beyond what the founders of Dragon City thought possible. To record their historic achievement and pave the way for future Masters, we’ve increased the Max Player level from 150 to 200.

If you are among those players who have already reached level 150 and beyond, once we introduce the new max player level, you will automatically jump up to your appropriate Level based on the total XP you have acquired to date.
