When matchmaking for Heroic Races, our algorithm sorts engaged players together.
This makes sure that the Event is fun and resembles an actual race, otherwise there could be players not competing at all and make the event less enjoyable.

With this, some users may be in more than one race.

On their devices, they might not even be racing YOU directly, although they will always have the same amount of laps in all races that they might be participating in.
