When he was a kid, Malairion was obsessed with a TV show called The Revenge Squadron, which followed a band of villains led by Florian Malsang. Their headquarters, known as The Hideout, became iconic in Malairion’s mind.

All Malairion ever wanted was to grow up and be like Florian Malsang. Sure, Florian Malsang was just a fictional character—just an actor—but Malairion aspired to become the real-life version of his idol. Unlike his father, an independent supervillain, Malairion dreamed of founding his own villainous faction and living in the coolest headquarters imaginable.

And so, he did. Malairion became a legendary supervillain. He formed a group—more than just a band, a full-fledged faction—and named it Revenge Squadron as a tribute to Florian Malsang. When he reached the peak of his success, he even established a headquarters with an integrated academy and named it The Supervillains' Hideout, another homage to his childhood hero.

When Florian Malsang discovered his biggest fan, you might think he would have been flattered—but instead, he sued Malairion. It turned out that Malsang owned the trademarks for Revenge Squadron and The Hideout. Malairion was initially shocked, but his deep admiration for his idol made him see the lawsuit as something almost… deliciously evil. Rather than fight him in court, Malairion did everything he could to win Florian’s favor. Eventually, they struck a deal: Florian dropped the lawsuit, and in return, Malairion agreed to give him a portion of the faction’s annual profits. Additionally, he granted Florian the honorary title of Ancestor of the Revenge Squadron, formally acknowledging the inspiration he had been.

Malairion's father, Malfeitor, strongly advised against the deal, warning that it would come back to bite him one day. But Malairion didn’t listen. After all, Florian Malsang wasn’t even a real villain—why would he ever try to act the part?

Well… that day has come.
