Mate Kirk was one of Varuna’s original crew, but his ambitions stretched far beyond the sea to the distant stars. An avid inventor (and lover of loot), Kirk built a device called the Sky-Cannon and blasted himself off to galactic adventure!
After reaching space, Kirk quickly realized that getting back to Petra would be nearly impossible. Plus, he reckoned that keeping the cut of space treasure he’d promised to Varuna sounded better than handing it over. So Kirk adopted the name “Moonwalker” to reflect this new status and began a new life of space piracy!
But it wasn’t until Kirk stole the Curse of the Cosmos away from the Skeels that his crew was complete. Although he was just a baby, Copperbeard had stolen the Space Defenders’ entire stockpile of gold, and was hiding out on the ship. The two merry troublemakers made an instant connection, and flew away safely in a hail of Space Defender laser fire. With a pile of gold at his feet and the helm of a starship in his hands, Kirk Moonwalker had assembled the Star Sailors: his very own spacefaring pirate crew.
From here, the legends become positively chaotic—even The Chronicler can barely keep track of them all. If the tales are true, Kirk has done everything from riding spacefaring whales across the galaxy, to finding an entire planet made of Gems, to kissing every green woman in the galaxy, to installing a Glitcherine-powered multiversal engine into the Curse of the Cosmos so he can plunder time as well as space. Whether the stories are true or not, it’s hard to deny that Kirk Moonwalker is one of the most talked-about Ancestors of all time.
