Snailorion’s original habitat was corrupted by Dark magic, and turned from a fertile green marsh into a black, stinking swamp. It was hellish for all the creatures who lived there, but Snailorion and his family were especially affected, because they moved slowly. Deeply connected to the poisoned land and unable to escape in time, most of them withered and died. Only Snailorion, who was smaller and lighter than the others, managed to make it out by riding on the back of another monster.

But unfortunately, escaping certain doom didn’t solve Snailorion’s problems. He was as much a seed as he was a monster, with the power to create a new, pure environment stored right in his shell. If he chose to activate it, it would birth a huge expanse of brand-new forest in the blink of an eye. And as the last of his kind, he’d become incredibly valuable—valuable enough that Wicked Gaians started to hunt him. After all, creating more forests would upset the balance of nature, and they had a keen interest in not letting Pure Gaia seize the upper hand. But if they could kidnap Snailorion and use him for their own purposes, well…that was different.

Snailorion doesn't wish to activate his ultimate power, because he would sacrifice his own life in the process, but it could mean all the difference if Wicked Gaia were ever to try and conquer the Pure Gaians. Hopefully, though, things will never come to that.
