Pugnus grew up in the alleyways surrounding his local Faction Colosseum. He was never the biggest or strongest, so he made up for it by being the angriest. It wasn’t a perfect strategy, but after a few years, little Pugnus was the king of the street urchins, living at the top of the food chain based on sheer aggression.

A talent scout from the Colosseum passed through one day and noticed Pugnus, who bore a strong resemblance to his newest featured fighters, Little Eneas and Epamikrondas. They’d been fighting a death match for weeks that never actually ended. They were too evenly matched, so every day brought the same fight, and audiences got bored.

The scout had an idea: Instead of pitting these pint-sized gladiators against each other, why not have them work together instead? Adding a third to the lineup would turn them into the strongest combat squad on the planet, and putting a native son on the team would add an emotional aspect for local fans.

Now Pugnus, Little Eneas, and Epamikrondas are an unbeatable team of warriors who wow the crowds daily. It’s been successful so far! But that said…will they all really stay satisfied with sharing the spotlight?
