When Spitizze fell through his Glitcherine Gateway, he was too surprised to even think about closing it back up, so it stayed open. One of his circus compatriots, Swift Daga, saw him disappear and jumped into the hole to follow him. Being a daring sort, they were confident that they’d go on a thrilling adventure (with Spitizze as their loyal sidekick) and be able to hop right back through together.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to follow someone through a Glitcherine portal, so Swift Daga ended up crashing into a strange universe on their own. Luckily, since Swift Daga had been a knife thrower in the circus, they were more than capable of handling any threats that came their way. Living on that new planet was hard, but they were able to carve out a living and even made a few friends along the way.

What Swift Daga did that Spitizze didn’t was to experiment with the portal they’d made. They learned how to mold and shape Gateways, allowing them to travel throughout the multiverse freely. Earning money from the odd public show of knife-throwing and enjoying their tour immensely, Swift Daga wandered from universe to universe for years before ending up in the same time and place as Spitizze—completely by accident.
